On 20 and 21 February 2019, Aludium hosted Gerd Götz, Director General of the European Aluminium Association (EAA) during a visit to our Alicante facilities. As well as inspecting the mill, Gerd Götz also visited Aludium’s Cindal R&D Centre. He also met with Arnaud de Weert, CEO of Aludium, and Dan Cromie and Peter Bacon, both members of Aludium’s Board of Directors.
During Gerd Götz’s visit, Aludium’s management and operational teams provided him with a detailed view of our manufacturing operations, and the analytical capabilities of the Cindal team. Gerd Götz commented on the flexibility of Aludium’s operations, and the dedication of our workforce. He was impressed with the equipment and skills of the Cindal team, and their ability to analyse products and processes for customers and third-party business partners.
On his return, Gerd Götz thanked the Aludium team: “Back to Brussels from an inspiring visit to Aludium Alicante and grateful for your outstanding hospitality. Many thanks to you and your teams for spending so much time with me – it was an inspiring and pleasant experience!”
After more than two months of work, Aludium’s Cindal R&D centre has had the scope of its ISO-17025 certification extended. The new certification allows Cindal to test lubricants, used on aluminium destined for applications in the food and cosmetics sectors, for compliance with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
The certification was granted by Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC), Spain’s only national accreditation body. ENAC is recognised by over 70 countries worldwide through the International Laboratory Accreditation Conference’s mutual recognition agreement (ILAC MRA).
