22 December 2022. The most engaging days of the year have arrived, and the employees of Aludium’s Alicante plant have arranged for Santa Claus to visit their facilities with a family party to celebrate Christmas. If these dates really mean something it is being with family, and that is what we did, holding our traditional children’s party on 14 December with enjoyable visits by Santa Claus throughout the day.
To bring the party to an end in the best possible way, in the afternoon, as in previous years, the team of Aludium Alicante held an entertaining tea attended by those employees’ children who took part in the Christmas children’s drawing contest. This enjoyable get-together featured the performance of the Magician Leoren, and also involved solidarity, with Santa delivering a solidarity gift to the children taking part in the drawing contest. The gift chosen this year was a notebook with patterns and colours so the little ones could create works of art and unleash their creativity during the holidays. This year, Aludium is collaborating with the Apsa association, which carries out activities aimed at improving the quality of life of people with different abilities throughout their life cycle. Aludium continues to forge alliances and cooperate to increase the positive social impact we have on our communities.
Ugly Sweater Day!
However, the spirit of Christmas fun did not end with Santa’s visit. On 16 December the Alicante team, celebrated “National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day”, an American and Canadian tradition taking place on the third Friday of December, which consists of wearing an ‘ugly sweater’ decorated with reindeer, elves, snowmen, Christmas motifs, Santa Claus and even lights and music. A sweater that can be described as ugly, ridiculous, or tacky but which reflects a great sense of humour, companionship, and a ton of Christmas spirit, meaning that people spend a different and fun day at work. Wearing our ‘ugly sweaters’ the Alicante team wishes you a Merry Christmas surrounded by your loved ones.
