The objective to be achieved with this project is the progressive de-carbonisation of industrial furnaces in the metallurgical sector. The ultimate goal is to use only “green hydrogen” as fuel in this type of furnace. The project scope covers the development of burners for natural gas / hydrogen mixtures using oxygen as oxidizer. The burners must allow the use of different percentages of oxygen / hydrogen mixtures, with up to 100% hydrogen.
