ASI and other certifications: demostrating our good performance
Aludium is certified with the highest internationally-recognized environmental and sustainability standards. Outstanding among them are the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI), ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001 and the Ecovadis rating.
ASI
Since 2019, our alliance with ASI has supported our environmental, social and ethical commitment, as well as our responsible leadership in meeting the expectations of our stakeholders and increasing transparency.
ASI is the most prestigious sustainability standard in the aluminum sector, defining standards that ensure sustainable performance based on environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects. ASI guarantees responsible production throughout the whole aluminum value chain and is rooted in two certifications. The Performance Standard (PS) certificate covers responsible production aspects, while Chain of Custody (CoC) certification involves responsible sourcing.
All of Aludium’s plants have received the ASI Performance Standard (PS) and Chain of Custody (CoC) certifications
The fact that all of our plants (Alicante, Amorebieta and Castelsarrasin) have the Chain of Custody (CoC) certification allows us to sell materials (CoC) to all our customers, regardless of the production process, the product or the route. CoC certification is very important because it defines material flow requirements throughout the value chain, from recycling to the finished product, in order to guarantee sustainable production. Therefore, we supply CoC certified aluminum to our customers, which adds value to the basic Performance Standard certificate.
