Aludium holds the second edition of the ‘Aludium Talent Academy’ leadership program with 10 students

November 13, 2024. The path to success lies always in the process, and education is the fundamental pillar of leadership. As part of Aludium’s commitment to promoting, retaining and rewarding the company’s internal talent as an essential part of its Human Resources policy, and in light of the enormous success and excellent results of the initial experience, at the end of October, the company held the second edition of the ‘Aludium Talent Academy’ leadership program with 10 participants from the company’s different plants and departments.

The primary goal of the ‘Aludium Talent Academy’ is to train Aludium’s future leaders in the essential skills and abilities to move our business forward and position the company as a leader in terms of leadership and sustainability. The program began in Alicante on October 22nd, 23rd and 24th and will finish in January 2026.

“The world is changing faster and faster, and at Aludium, we know that our capacity to innovate and grow depends on our people’s talent and ability to adapt. ‘Aludium Talent Academy’ is an initiative designed not only to identify and train future leaders, but also to give them the tools and skills that they need to face the challenges in a constantly evolving business environment. This program represents our investment in young talent, providing a space for ongoing learning, practical development and strategic reflection, all key elements to keep our leaders aligned with the company’s long-term vision at all times and enable them to promote a more dynamic and sustainable future for everyone”, said Joaquim Vaz, Aludium’s VP of HR & EHS.

    Sustainable leadership for 10 participants

The program is similar to the previous edition, after the results obtained and the satisfaction and motivation of the employees who participated in it. During the initial days of the program, Aludium’s HR department, in collaboration with consultants from Mercer, worked to create a feeling of camaraderie during the initial session and promote the exchange of knowledge, while laying a solid foundation for the success of this new edition.

The enthusiasm and pride sparked by being a part of ‘Aludium Talent Academy’, along with the atmosphere of camaraderie and professionalism, as well as the connection with the consulting team, combined to generate highly enriching sessions that managed to connect with the group and obtain very positive feedback, in both the personal evaluations as well as in the group dynamics and subjects covered”, said our colleagues in Human Resources, Igor Cacho, HR Business Partner at Aludium Alicante, and Lola Vidal, Senior HR Business Partner at Aludium Amorebieta.

Training is a lever for promoting leadership. The program consists of different training sessions covering soft skills, psychometric and dynamic tests, 360 evaluations, technical training by Aludium and visits to the plants, suppliers and our clients, as well as coaching sessions. In addition, over the course of the program, the 10 participants will develop a sustainability project that they will present and defend before the company’s Executive Committee in the final session.

The goal of education is to spark change, and if education is believing that we can pass on a better world, sustainability is an ideal instrument for achieving this change.
