On 1 February 2018, Mario Allet was appointed as R&D Director of Aludium’s Cindal R&D centre. In addition to his responsibilities as R&D Director, Mario will remain as Aludium’s Programs and CAPEX Director, a position he has held since 2015. He will continue to report directly to Manuel Ruano, COO of Aludium.
When Mario Allet joined Aludium, he brought his extensive background in the aluminium business and has been driving different projects and initiatives to grow the company. In his new role, Mario and the Cindal team will focus on understanding the needs of Aludium’s customers and our main markets. They will also explore how Aludium can fulfil those ambitions with our existing resources including people, processes, and equipment. Where necessary, Mario will develop appropriate investment plans that expand Aludium’s product portfolio and meet customer and market demand.
Mario Allet studied at the University of Science and Technology (ETH) in Zürich (Switzerland) where he obtained a PhD in Physics. He has extensive work experience in the aluminium industry having held positions such as plant manager, cast house quality manager, and director of recycling and raw material quality amongst others.
