40 students from the higher and middle level training cycles of Cavanilles Secondary School visit Aludium’s Alicante plant

31 May 2023. Bringing the world of work closer to the youngest talent in our communities and raising their awareness about industrial work, and specifically the production process involved in aluminium recycling, is one of the aims of Aludium’s social sustainability policy. Throughout the year, both the Alicante and Amorebieta plants receive visits from university students or students on training cycles linked to certain fields of our professional activity.

On 16 and 17 May 40 students and 5 teachers from Cavanilles Secondary School (IES) visited Aludium’s Alicante plant. Students attend the higher-level training cycles of Production Programming and Design in Mechanical Manufacturing, as well as the intermediate level corresponding to Electromechanical Maintenance and Machining. During the visit they were able to discover, in depth, our values and corporate strategy and the innovative and sustainable process of aluminium recycling, as well as its numerous applications in different sectors and markets. In addition, they were given a guided tour of the production workshop.

Aludium has closely collaborated with this education centre for many years by training students on compulsory work experience as part of the vocational training cycles. On the other hand, we also collaborate by delivering talks in the education centre itself presented by our technicians. Moreover, from this year onwards and based on our commitment to increase the positive impact at the social level in our areas of influence, we also do the same through dual training. Here at Aludium we continue working to add value through collaborating with our stakeholders.
